Anchor
Anchor is podcasting platform startup located in New York City, NY. I've been working with this amazing company since May of 2017 as an intern and I've learned countless things about audio, podcasts, business, marketing, and so much more.
In terms of audio work, I began my time with Anchor creating a podcast about podcasts, called "Podcast of the Day". The premise of the daily show was to highlight a podcast (independent or network) that was doing really cool things. During its stint, I interviewed and highlighted superb podcasts like Sidedoor, Thin Air, Up and Vanished, Twenty Thousand Hertz, and many more. Through this show, I picked up irreplaceable interviewing skills in addition to working with Adobe Audition and Anchor's set of tools. I also previously produced and hosted Anchor's premiere news show, The Anchor News Rundown. The Rundown runs twice-daily and gives a brief recap of US news to podcast listeners. During my producer role on the show, we were able to bring on reporters to discuss their stories in the news, incorporate soundbites of relevant news pieces, and increase listenership over time.
As an intern for Anchor, I've been able to work on many projects in all sorts of areas. I've worked on marketing and advertising, data research, community outreach, QA, support, company operations, product, and other various things.

Beaver Island with CMU Honors
During the summer of 2018, I attended a week long summer class at the breathtaking Beaver Island in Northern Michigan. The class was in its pilot run under guidance by CMU Professor Will Andersen. There were 9 students overall in the class (including me) that were put in charge to create radio dramas based on the island's extremely rich history. Over the course of four days, the class and I dug up stories, conducted research, compiled scripts, revised scripts, recorded our scripts at the local radio station, and edited them together - all in time to air on WBVI 100.1 FM on Friday at 5 PM. We came into this class with little to no expectations as it was the first time ever being done, but I'm happy to say it was a smashing success. I was the main editor behind this project and had lots of input and ideas from the entirety of the class!

CM Life
I've had the privilege to work with Central Michigan Life since my arrival at Central Michigan University. I began as a videographer in my freshman year, however I became the assistant multimedia editor, and eventually podcast editor during my sophomore year and became the sole producer and editor of CM Life's podcasts and audio. Since becoming the podcast editor, I've worked on multiple CM Life shows that are listened by thousands each year.
Our roster of podcasts includes: Maroon and Bold (CMU sports), Unsportsmanlike Conduct (national and state sports talk show), Notable (music), Raving Geeks (geek/nerd interests, pop culture), Ring Masters (wrestling, WWE), Past Deadline (CMU news), Moving Pictures (movies), and Podcast 51 (weird subjects, conspiracies). I host on the podcast, Notable, as well!
I edit our podcasts using Adobe Audition, and have experience with podcast distribution, analytics, and production.
